A couple years back I was down in Saratoga, NY and we went in this store that has used books and my brother found this for me amongst a pile of books for I think $3: A whole Disney Afternoon song book featuring piano sheet music for songs from four different shows, Ducktales, Talespin, Gummi Bears, and Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers with 18 songs in total (including full theme songs!). I play the piano, so this was a real treat for me. It's a pretty interesting book. Anyone else have one of these?

This is great, Baloo, when you can and you like to play piano. I didn't want to learn to play. I have also a question. It's about that same Disney Afternoon soundtrack. As you know it was released on CD in 1990. In Internet we can see such credits of disc: Disney Afternoon Theme (2:45) Chip 'N Dale's Rescue Rangers Theme Song (3:39) Gummiberry Juice (2:55) Duck Tales Theme (2:53) Home Is Where the Heart Is (3:15) Rough, Tough, Burly Sailor Song (2:24) Tale Spin Theme (2:20) Monkey in Your Tank (1:34) Boogie Beagle Blues (2:35) Gummi Bears Theme (2:23) Friends for Life (2:12) I'm Gone (2:43) Disney Afternoon Theme (Reprise) (1:50) Credits The Jets (Performer), Melissa Manchester (Performer), Robert Kraft (Producer), Andrew Ballard (Assistant Engineer), Chere Carlyon (Production Coordination), Jim Cummings (Performer), Brian Gardner (Mastering), Jim Gilstrap (Performer), Dave McNair (Engineer), Dave McNair (Mixing), Jeff Pescetto (Performer), Leslie Smith (Performer), Dan Stein (Associate Producer), Martin Schmelzle (Assistant Engineer) Does anyone know, which performer sings every song? I found only that Duck Tales theme is performed by Jef Pescetto, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Ransers theme by The Jets and TaleSpin theme is performed by Jim Gilstrap. This CD is very rare as I learned. I will be very thankful for information.

Hey, Baloo, I have seen this online before, It's certainly a nice item to have. I don't have one though. I didn't know you played piano! It would be cool to hear some of your tunes sometime, maybe if you could get some up online or on YouTube. I bet you've enjoyed trying out the Disney Afternoon songbook with your piano!

Yeah, it was fun. I played a couple of songs with it. I'll have to get a music track of me playing the piano up sometime. That would be good.

I hate to brag, but I have both the DA songbook and the cd soundtrack, which has been played a million times. I used to play it loud in my car with 15" subwoofers so all the cars around me had to listen, too! It's fun to have the whole versions of the songs. I wish there was a volume two with Goof Troop, Darkwing Duck, even Bonkers and more of the original show's songs. "I Am A Pirate", the song that Karnage sings in P&L is in the songbook at least.
I found the cd back in 1993 at a liquidation store (they carry overstocked or discontinued items). I think you can still get the whole soundtrack song by song in Disneyland at a special music kiyosk on Main Street USA.
That's great that you play piano, Baloo. The songbook must be a fun excersize for you. The DuckTales theme is one of my favorites! Also, inside of the book features great artwork of the show's characters.
I know Melissa Manchester sings "Home Is Where The Heart Is", and most of the songs for all the shows were written and produced by the husband and wife team; Silvershire & Silvershire. I can't find much on them through the internet, though. I know they made a ton of Disney show themes, even for The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. They make great songs, full of spunk and creativity to match each of the show's and character's spirit. "I'm Gone" is great-the perfect song for Baloo!
