The Bear is Here!
Did you know that four out of five doctors surveyed recommend Bear Hugs for their patients who hug Bears?
That fifth doctor isn't really a doctor...but he plays one on television!
Sooo...who needs a Great Big Bear Hug?!

The most I have is probably the four-part adaptation of Plunder and Lightning...maybe two Colossial Comics...but that's about as far as I got. Tom! Have you ever seen the few TS comics put out under the Marvel label? The first few were not bad, but the last was only a holiday comic (and wasn't very good). And, if I recall this was the last TS comic in standard comic book format too. I've only known the TaleSpin comics as being under the Disney brand.

Ladies and Gentlemen: Approximately three years ago, an online friend in the Yanni fandom pointed me toward a TaleSpin-based homepage which would, in turn, bring me to a fandom of the cartoon series and the character which I had embraced. Gregory Weagle's Unofficial Kit Cloudkicker Homepage is an online encyclopedia; full of pictures, stories, and all things celebrating TaleSpin's High-flying Ace of the Skies. This Independence Day Weekend, that page celebrates its Tenth Anniversary...but don't expect any cake or ice cream. The reason for that is Mr. Weagle has apparently decided to put the Unofficial Kit Cloudkicker Homepage into retirement; citing that everything that could be said...has been said. Whichever new direction his life guides him, I want to wish Mr. Weagle nothing but the very best. It is my hope that he would keep in touch with the friends he's made along the way in the ten years since creating his famed online dedication to Kit Cloudkicker. I further hope that he understands that among those friends, he can count upon one who is among the biggest...if not, the oldest...fan any cartoon character could ever have. Yours Truly, Tom CloudkickerIt is therefore...with a heavy heart...that I share with you all the link to Gregory Weagle's Final Cloudkicking Address.

Have you visited the Yanni site, Chris? If you click on YANNI's name in the first paragraph of my first posting, you can visit Yanni's official page.
The Yanni Message Board is the very first fan page I ever joined. The people are very nice and it's easy to have a good time there. You're welcome to join if you want to.

Some of you...though not all of you...may be familiar with the contemporary instrumentalist, YANNI. I, for one, have enjoyed his music for about ten years. His music, amongst the music of many other artists; has been a source of inspiration and strength in my life when most needed. Sooo...what does Yanni have to do with TaleSpin? Well, nothing...on the surface. I think it's up to one's imagination. I would like to propose one Yanni tune which I feel could be a sort of TaleSpin counterpart...in terms of it's rhythm and harmony. To me, while they are very different pieces of music, in my imagination, they have so much more in common that they balance each other beautifully. Let me illustrate further by offering two links... TaleSpin ThemeYanni - A Night to RememberI hope you'll take a listen to them and enjoy them. ;D

Bad television reception would drive me crazy. When I watch television, I need a good picture and good sound to go with it.

Kit Cloudkicker grew up harshly, with walls around his heart. But in Plunder and Lightning, they tumbled apart. ... Ulisabarbic
This was the first video that would introduce me to Ulisa, who has offered some of the finest TaleSpin-inspired presentations I've ever seen.
One line from the song by Peter, Paul & Mary rings true: If there's any hope for love at all, some walls must fall.

Right now, I'm watching Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, which I highly recommend. As I'm watching the movie, I can see Baloo as Indiana Jones. Rebecca playing the role of Willie, the nightclub singer...and Kit portraying Short Round.
Kit and Short Round probably have the most in common. Both characters are orphans, they take onto their respective partners as father figures...and they both like to wear baseball caps.
Somewhere, I saw a fan drawing of Baloo and the TaleSpin cast portraying characters from the Indiana Jones movies. I just wish I could remember where at the moment. It was great art!
;D
