Err, what? There's no word on a UK release. The news was about the USA release, which was on June 16th, not 30th. (so yeah, it's already released! maybe it's difficult to find in stores, but it's officially released and available on the offical Boom! Studios site.

In case you didn't / couldn't get it yet, Darkwing Duck #1 is available again in comic book stores! (Darkwing #2 will also get a second print soon) www.boom-studios.net/darkwing-duck-01-2nd-print.htmlAlso, Boom! has corrected a bug with international shipping which would cause really big shipping fees : now you can choose "First-class mail international". For example, for shipping to France, it only costs $5.80 instead of $29. And you can order several titles for the same shipping fees. No more excuse not to get all the Darkwing and maybe some other Disney/Boom comics books!

Today, I have purchased my first Darkwing Duck comic from my local Hastings store, along with a DuckTales comic
I've read them both and I like them a lot.
In the Darkwing Duck comic, Quackerjack, Megavolt, Brushroot and the Liquidator are blowing up toy stores, a revenge thing for Quackerjack for all the stores' rejection of his 'dangerous' toys.
Quackerjack hates NegaDuck for some reason, out of hatred it seems, he doesn't mention the duck's name, nor does he allow his partners-in-crime to say it.
DW doesn't confront the bad guys in this issue, he's busy trying to get information out of a computer to crack a case and Honker is held prisoner by an unknown villain, probably NegaDuck...
In DuckTales, Scrooge discovers an everlasting coal, a coal that can burn and burn but never burning out. so he sets out to sought this coal, but Grimgold learned of the coal from his spy, and he's after it too.
I'm liking these comics, they're better-made than other comics I've ever owned before, (that's about 20 comics in total and I never keep them, I'm just not a comic book-type guy) and I love the paper used to make these comics, they're more firm and less fragile to tear.
Thank you, Boom and Disney for making these comics. Now if you'll just do the same for TaleSpin....
