back in the day Power Rangers was awesome. But I stopped watching after the end of Mighty Morphin. I haven't followed it in years but it never did seem to fit in with Disney. Hopefully this will be a win for both companies. Allowing Saban to take power rangers back to it's roots as well as Allowing Disney to focus on it's other acquisitions. I'm not a comic book fan at all but it's crazy that Disney isn't capitalizing on the popularity of Comic movies right now considering they now own Marvel.

Added to the list. Reboot Ralph(previously named Joe Jump) - set to be released March 22 nd, 2013 A 3D adventure through video games. Reboot Ralph is an 8bit video game character who is placed into the retro gaming bin until he finds a way to get into more modern games. That sounds neat Duke Thanks for the addition. from the sound of it this will be a Pixcar movie which is always cool.
Much appreciated man.
Also I might add there was a name change last I heard for Rapunzel which I believe is now called Tangled. it's now a 2d movie with 3d elements in the animation.
Disney is sure getting thing's going again Walt would be proud.
Yep. Which I hate. It should have stayed Rapunzel. As a kid the best Disney movies were the ones that retold classic fairy tales. I know the story will stay the same but the name makes a big difference. It's like when they decided to go with the name Aladdin instead of Ali Baba and the 40 thieves. Sure we knew what the story was. But I guarantee more casual watchers would have been more interested in watching the film if they knew it was a story they had heard before and were a fan of. By naming this "Tangled" it seems like they are trying to hard to be hip. Ahhhh Disney My most loved and hated production company. If you didn't consistently put out such fabulous stories I would have given up on you years ago.

Any that Walt personally worked on with Ward Kimball as an animator.
Ward's works with Walt.
Snow White (Vultures) Pinocchio (Jiminy Cricket) Fantasia (Bacchus and his don-corn) Dumbo (Casey Junior and the Crows) Bambi (Faline) Cinderella (Lucifer, Jaq, Gus and Bruno) Alice in Wonderland (Tweedledee and Tweedledum; Cheshire Cat; Mad Hatter; The March Hare; The Walrus and the Carpenter) Peter Pan (The Darling children; the Lost Boys; the Indian Chief) The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (Animation Director) The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and of course his most famous scene being The Three Caballeos I could go on listing His credits but I'm getting off topic here
My favorites of that bunch are. -Peter Pan (My personal favorite story in all it's adaptations) -Pinocchio (I have a soft spot for the aesthetics of the artwork, IMO it's the most beautifully hand drawn animated feature of all time.) -Dumbo (The elephants on Parade scene simply blew my mind as a child and it's still an example I use of what the basis of animation is all about) -Alice in Wonderland (See above)
But can we also list animated shorts/specials that were not feature length films? Because with Silly Symphonies alone that could be quite the list.

add these to the list 2010 - Waking Sleeping Beauty (is a documentary about Walt Disney's hard times. Waking Sleeping Beauty shows how over 10 years, Disney produced many successful movies. From 1984 to 1994, Disney was very sucessful. Then, in the mid 1980's, Walt Disney had gone from riches to rags. ) 2010 - Tron Legacy ( It is a sequel to the 1982 film Tron.) 2011 - Frankenweenie (remake of the 1984 Tim Burton Film. It is a parody of and an homage to the 1931 film Frankenstein based on Mary Shelley's book of the same name.) 2012 - The Lone Ranger ( 2012 - Yellow Submarine (remake of the 60s Beatles film) 2012 - The Swiss Family Robinson (remake of the 60s Disney Film) 2012 - John Carter of Mars ( The film is based on the first story to feature John Carter, A Princess of Mars, which was serialized from 1912 and first published as a novel in 1917. ) 2013 - Jungle Cruise (The Jungle Cruise is an announced Disney motion picture loosely inspired by the theme park attraction of the same name.) 2013 - Shattered Union (no info) The Lone Ranger? Did Disney bought rights to that western masked hero? What are they planning to do with the Lone Ranger and Tonto? Disney have owned the rights of the Lone Ranger for decades and decades. Disney was showing the Lone Ranger way back in the eraly days of The Mickey Mouse club. Disney made 221 episodes of The Lone Ranger

Thanks kit.
What I listed were the movies done by the Walt Disney animation studios before the John Lasseter regime of the Disney/Pixar merger. which is why I didn't include Bolt or Meet the Robinsons. I also didn't include specials or half live action.
The movies you added were from the Disneytoon Studios. Still made by Disney but a different branch of the company.
Bolt and Meet the Robinsons ARE considered to be the 46th and 47th feature films made by the Walt Disney Animation Studios. But I left them off simply because I was only including movies that were strictly made by Disney with no outside help.

I have the CDRR Exstended Intro. But for the moment I don't have any of the CDRR episodes in my computer to make a video with it. But I guess I could try to do one if nobody else seems to have one up yet or has any immedate plans to upload one. If you all would like me to do that. Then that way you'd almost have all of them. It was just an idea and suggestion. Your friend, Kitckw are you talking about this one?

I have a list somewhere of all the animated movies that are coming out until 2012. Every movie on the list has come out so far. I'll try to find the list and post it here
Edit: Found it. I was given this list in May 2008.
June 27th 2008 - WALL-E
Nov. 26th 2008 - BOLT (featuring the voice of John Travolta - it’s a movie about a superdog)
Oct. 28th 2008 - TINKERBELL (previously thought of with great potential but now going straight to DVD as one part of a four film series)
May 29th 2009 - UP (from the directors of Monster’s Inc, it’s a movie about a young boy and an old man who team together for a once in a lifetime adventure)
October 2nd 2009 - TOY STORY in 3-D
Christmas 2009 - THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG (much anticipated return to 2-D animation)
Below are the movies that the release date has yet to come February 12th 2010 - TOY STORY 2 in 3-D
June 18th 2010 - TOY STORY 3
Christmas 2010 - RAPUNZEL
Sumer 2011 - NEWT (from the director of that brilliant Pixar short “Lifted”, it’s a tale about love/science and aliens!)
Christmas 2011 - THE BEAR AND THE BOW (featuring the voice talent of Reese Witherspoon, Billy Conelly and Emma Thompson, it’s a fantasy movie set in a “rugged, mythical Scotland”.
Summer 2012 - CARS 2 (to be directed by the co-producer Brad Lewis)
Christmas 2012 - THE KING OF THE ELVES (adaptation of Phillip K. thingy’s story about a ordinary man who suddenly stumbles into being the king of the elves!

Do you guys know who Haley Mills grew up to be?
I'll give you a hint. It was a show that was originally shown on the Disney Channel. But after 1 season they changed the name and format of the show and moved it to NBC.
Give up? She was Miss Bliss!!!!!
I like Old Yeller But I feel it's nostalgia factor has far outweighed the actual performance. People always put it on their list because of it's classic appeal. But it's a pretty slow paced simple film.
That's the funny thing about Disney movies. There are SO MANY that bombed originally but once they were re released new fans went for them in droves just to see what classic disney was all about.
That right there is the true magic of Disney. They have the ability to be both timeless as well as fresh. People will always be attracted to the movies based on the titles alone.
Think about it. Look at all the movies Disney has made that were based off old fairy tales. But yet if you say Peter Pan to anybody. They'll always think of the Disney cartoon first instead of the countless adaptations that came before.
Every kid knows who Alladin is but I bet only a small precentage of them have ever read Ali Baba and the 40 thieves.
The same can be said for Alice in Wonderland. Most people will think of the disney portrayal first instead of the great book that it comes from.
It's amazing how they have totally managed to change perception and make people think a complete different way.
