Associations and memories

Hello pals.

I think everyone have his own associations or memories with Disney or TaleSpin characters, events etc with music, maybe his own events.

For example, I have very strong association of TaleSpin (and especially Kit Cloudkicker) with Coldplay band's music. It becomes clear if you know the reason — when I visited UKCHP page first time (and accidentally stayed there for 4-5 hours, reading all the editorials and fan fiction), this music played on my computer.

Now when I listen Coldplay, I always remember Kit Cloudkicker.

Another association is with Rescue Rangers. I was 5 or 6 when this series was on the TV, and I love them very much. My mom made a gift for me — coloring pages with RR characters, but I didn't like to paint that time, and my uncle began to color it with watercolour. That watercolour was made special for children and had very strong fruit smell. I still remember that smell very clearly

It's interesting for me, does anyone here have any associations or memories related to Disney or Talespin, and what are they?

I also remember that when TS was aired, my favourite reading was an geographic atlas and I imagine myself navigator like Kit, and played with pair of compasses but I didn't know how to use them. Also I named my teddy bear to Baloo (but he looked rather like Kit), but then his name association with TaleSpin was lost for me.

Derter Nice Post Here and one thats very cool in all ways and one I know Kit Him self would be very proud of To.

It was 5 years ago that I came across The UKCHP and all the great Stories and art work that helped get me back into A show and a Character Named Kit Cloudkicker that was a grand part of My Child Hood.

My Memoris or things I Associate with Kit are much Like your Own. Different Music Such as Songs Like Carry on My wayward son By Classic Rock Group Kansas. and Others Like Nothing Else Matters By Metallica.

Nothing else Matters reminds me of Kit in that fact Of the song talking about No matter what Family always Matters.

Just A snipit of the Lyrics Here shows this .

The Main Lyrics Go: So Close No Matter How Far. Couldn't be much More from The Heart. Forever Trusting who we are and Nothing else Matters.

I see Kit singing this as to say hey I have a Family In Baloo and Becky and Molly that loves Me and this to me is what matters Most.

And even the Chrous. is Kit To. speaking Of Don Karnage and the Air Pirates.

Never Cared for what they Do. Never cared for what they Know, Never Cared for Games they played and etc. thats just screams Kit to me talking of DK and the Pirates. This song makes me think Of Kit every Time I hear it for thoes reasions and is a great Memorie of Mine with Kit.

Probly one of my First Memories Is when I was able to see Plunder & Lighting the full Movie as It Debuted on Tv I rember seting there and Just not even moving cause I was so Touched By Kit's Personalty and seeing Him Rise above every thing and then seeing him Screfice His self to save Baloo and Becky. and Molly His Mom, dad, and Sister in all ways form the Pirates showed the heart Kit really had.

and even doing so again to the extent of almost his own Life to stop the Lighting Gun from Destroying His new Home.

Like The song Home is where the Heart is Kit Knew He now would always have a Home. ''Sniff'' sorry I always liked how heart felt that song was. and seeing Baloo save Kit from the fall To put the Big Point on them being Fater and son.

and Kits words I'm His(Baloo's) Navagator Always. Thoes memories are things I can never forget.

Like us all Kit and Baloo were like Role Modles to me and many of us. Including Kits Voice actor R.J Williames. were all role modles to us.

I know I'm rambleing here but I have so many Memories that I would need more room to write them all.

But Mostly My Memories and Associaton with Kit is Family and Different music, thats reminds me of Kit. and Just what Kit ment to all of Us. His Character will live in my heart for along Time. Not because I want to Play Kit for Disney one day as a Moscot Furry costume actor.

But cause Of this. Note my be sad to read this Part skip if needed guys.

Okay with that said.

My big memories of Kit is One I do look like Kit my slef as a human and I came up with Jeffery from that. But what I remeber the most is My Uncle. He sadly Passed away afew years ago. He and I would watch Ts Every day together when we could. and seeing how my own parathes were never really around.

He was Like My father Figure as well as My grandad.

But My uncle cause I was so much like Kit In Looks and personalty. would call Me little Britches Kits Nick Name from Baloo cause he was so much Like Baloo were I was Like Kit. My Papa bear so to speak. and Now hes No longer with Me But when I think of Him I think of Kit and Baloo inreturn. But This memorie isnt sad Its Happy.

But My uncle was My Baloo. though My grandad is like my dad to My uncle was my Papa Bear so to speak. May he rest in wonderful peace.

Sorry for the emostionly part there every one But I could not post my Memories of Kit and Talespin with Out saying that on My uncle.


and lastly I like you Guy Not only do I like Mascot Characters and being one as Kit one day and also doing Mine Jeffery. But I loved Stuffed bears as well and I have one I boutght for Christmas thats in a christmas Out Fit though a lighter shde of brown he looks so much like Kit I named Him that. and that bear was is opart of my memories to in that Kit and Jeffery in there Christmas Out Fits in the christmas Card I and Static did for us here was Based on the same teddy bear. How cute is that.

I have Many more memories Friends But these are the ones that mean the most to me.

and Most Importan of all Is the friendships I have with you all Derter, Pashka. Aaron aka Kit4ever Tom. Kc5 Chrisno Static who I found is also partly my real cousin Just all of you mean so much to me as My dear and Close Friends.

Thank you and Kit Costume sized bear Hugs to You all yes I'm as short as Kit Costume self 5 foot 4 and a half. but my height thats not Important Its the heart that counts and you all have that part of Kit In you all.

I don't even thought about association of Metallica and Kit, but reading your post I've seen that relation really exists. That's very interesting.

It's so pity that so touching scenes from P&L movie was cut. Full version is really much more completed, clear and personalities are revealed much better. I like Gregory Weagle's rant on this movie, and I absolutely agreed with him that 'Home Is Where The Heart Is' song is character development song.

Thank you so much for liking my Memories as well. and I like you would have never thought of Kit and Metallica either till I came across a Video a fan made years ago with parts of Plunder and Lighting Part 4 with the song and It all just Clicked and to this day I remember how much this song really speaks of Kits Life. trough Plunder & Lighting.

Oh yes Deffently. I may not agree with Greg on many things But Home is where the heart is was a point of Plunder&Lighting that remains so close and dear to all Of Kits Fans Hearts and It was such a great developtment song for Kit seeing he was now never alone. thats so Touching To me to.

I wish that the song had never been cut as well,and I really blame Mike Esiner Disney ceo at the time for Cuting a part that was Kit growing song and him coming of age shorta you know.

Hopfuly when and if dvd set 3 comes out Bob Iger will give it back to us in a single disc of Plunder & Lighting as a full movie again. I with all of us can only hope.

I Tottaly agree here with you On Little wonders as well. after hearing the song at the end Of Meet the Robinsons my self I saw many memories and Imagies of Kit and The Gang as well.

Thank you for making a wonderful Video Tribute with the song for Kit and us all.

I've always enjoyed music like this while browsing the TaleSpin pages online.
I think reading Dan Green's stories with Kit getting into Jazz music kinda got a hold on me.

Kit might have enjoyed stuff like this, too. ;D

I've read that story too, it was a Christmas time and Kit took Baloo to a jazz concert. Then Baloo tried to get Kit to like his kind of music, Kit broke his record player and felt really bad about it and decided to sell his trumpet to buy Baloo a new one for Christmas.

Meanwhile, Baloo sold his record to buy Kit lessons from his favorite jazz performer.

Long story short, as Baloo and Kit exchanged gifts, they realized that either one of them could use their gifts as Baloo sold his record and therefore have nothing to play on his new record player, while Kit didn't have his trumpet he needed for his lessons

Then Rebecca gave them her gift, she brought Baloo's record back, along with Kit's trumpet. That made the happy ending

I typed all of that from my memory of the story, true I didn't give all the details but at least I remembered the storyline

It's funny because I'm writing story in which Baloo plays on trumpet too. Nothing to wonder, because Louis Armstrong performed Baloo's song from "The Jungle Book", and he's one of 30's symbols.

Nice Associtation here. and a very good one as well. ;D and yes I garee Kit would love music like this as well.

and he did enjoy his papa bears favorite song to seen by the two of them dancing to it at the end of the Double or Nothing Episode.

I also loved the story Dream a Little dream Of Christmas as well Its one of my favorite Talespin fan stories as well. and come to think of it. In Mickeys once upon a Christmas movie Mickeys story was was very simmiler to Kit and Baloos In dream a little dream of christmas.

Hum you think Disney may have read Dans Story and translated it with Mickey and Minnie.

Cause Mickey much like kit had a musical Intstument that ment so much to Him that he gave up to Buy Minnie a chain for a locket were Kit sold His trumpet to by the record for Baloo. in return Baloo selling his record Player to get Kit trumpt Lessions with Mikey and Minnie she sold her locket to get Micker a gold case for His Hormanica.

Thinking about that just gave me a new Associtation with Kit and Talespin as well thanks for reminding me of this wonderful story Tom and seeing a simmiler case in Mickys Once upon a christmas.

thats neat I thank you for helping me remember that from this wonderful story. an stroy that could make a great adostion To the Mickeys once upon a Christmas movie.

and yes I can see kit loving Jazz music as well. espely a Talespin version of Louie Armstrong. as Mr. Armstrom said it really is a wonderful world and you gave a very speaical Memorie of a story that means alot to me as well.

It's classical plot, Kit. It based on O. Henry's "The Gift of the Magi" story. So it's definitely naturally that Disney realized it with classical characters like in case of "Prince and Pauper".

Thats Cool and and great fact. Pashka, you Know I can see where Dan Green Got part of his version with Kit and Baloo in the dream a little dream of Christmas Story.

and Disney's useing it as well in Mickey Once upon A christmas.

for me there are many things especially staticy sounding tv reception and the scratchy staticy music of that era and some songs like london beats thinking about you reminded me of baloo thinking of kit and beckers and lil molly his family especially beckers but i just have to say i know it is odd but every time i see a staticy tv a lil ghosty with staticy sound i think of talespin and the happy staticy memories i have of the show i especially close to both kit and baloo cause of this, and the music at the time really played a role in the happy memories too like video killed the radio star when the girls did their singing part i thought of molly and sunni gummi too together i know it is funny sounding but it is true, and i hope to fiond old vhs tapes of home recordings of talespin off of rabbit ears antenna's so i can watch and listen to talepsin all cool sweet and staticy again your friend staticbear-chris
