We all know that Disney is the MECCA of full length animated features. But They have also came out with some great live action movies over the years. Whether they were solely Disney projects like Marry Poppins or simply distributed by the Disney corporation like Camp Nowhere. They were nothing short of the same magic that Disney has managed to provide us for over 80 years. The first movie that comes to mind when I think of Disney live action is. Heavyweights, I absolutely love this movie and can watch it over and over. It's a prime example of what great summer time family films should be. I advise anyone who hasn't seen it yet, to give it a viewing. You wont be disappointed.

I've seen not so many Disney movies, but I like "Mary Poppins" and "Flight of the Navigator". They're not "deep" but they can light your heart.

It's just a fun movie from beginning to end. Honey I shrunk the kids is another personal fav of mine. I also like the 1961 Babes in Toyland The Strongest Man in the world, Popeye and The absent minded professor are movies I watched a lot as a child But I'll always have to put The Return to OZ near the top of the list.

I had a DVD of the 1960 drama Pollyanna, which I thought was very good. It starred Hayley Mills in the title role, as well as Jane Wyman, Richard Egan, and Karl Malden.

Disney's Mary Poppins is a good movie. I have it on DVD. And,I really like Disney's The Three Musketeers. And Old Yeller and well I'm sure (like Kit Lee list) that my list could on for quite a while.

Do you guys know who Haley Mills grew up to be?
I'll give you a hint. It was a show that was originally shown on the Disney Channel. But after 1 season they changed the name and format of the show and moved it to NBC.
Give up? She was Miss Bliss!!!!!
I like Old Yeller But I feel it's nostalgia factor has far outweighed the actual performance. People always put it on their list because of it's classic appeal. But it's a pretty slow paced simple film.
That's the funny thing about Disney movies. There are SO MANY that bombed originally but once they were re released new fans went for them in droves just to see what classic disney was all about.
That right there is the true magic of Disney. They have the ability to be both timeless as well as fresh. People will always be attracted to the movies based on the titles alone.
Think about it. Look at all the movies Disney has made that were based off old fairy tales. But yet if you say Peter Pan to anybody. They'll always think of the Disney cartoon first instead of the countless adaptations that came before.
Every kid knows who Alladin is but I bet only a small precentage of them have ever read Ali Baba and the 40 thieves.
The same can be said for Alice in Wonderland. Most people will think of the disney portrayal first instead of the great book that it comes from.
It's amazing how they have totally managed to change perception and make people think a complete different way.
