They answered me, the game is officially licenced. I'm not going to argue with you, you can believe what you want. But I maintain that Disney's role in these cases is stricly limited to licencing. (the same way Disney doesn't MAKE toys, but are giving the licence to produce merchanidse)

Yes, these were made when the show used to air in the 1990's, of course they're new for everyone living in the US. I really wouldn't mind if they would do the same with Talespin (if they don't want to take the risk to make new ones, that is)

In all honesty, I would rather like them not airing it at all rather than bogging it down to "2 to 7 years old"...and giviing a bad image of it. Jymn Magon said that Talespin was made for a much larger audience originally : 5 to 15, and I think they kept older audience in mind when making it.
Disney should really stick with only ONE channel...That marketing/social/boys/girls share is nonsense.
Anyway, if they really would air Talespin, Disney Channel would suit much better. Or even Disney XD. But Playhouse...come on.

You can play it on a computer. Read the news on my site again.
No. Let's be clear : just like the Darkwing comics, this is NOT Disney's doing, but this comes from other companies. I'm not even 100% sure this game is officially licensed.
Epic Mickey IS Disney's decision, the revival of Tron IS Disney's decision. This ISN'T.
Although, if they are financially successful, maybe Disney themselves will reconsider using these licences again. But we're still very far from that. Currently, they have no interest in them (which explains why other companies are trying some things, too)

Err, what? There's no word on a UK release. The news was about the USA release, which was on June 16th, not 30th. (so yeah, it's already released! maybe it's difficult to find in stores, but it's officially released and available on the offical Boom! Studios site.

Ok, but then, did some of you actually contacted Boom Studios?
And yes, I'm also interested on how the Talespin characters are perceived by the Disney staff nowadays. I hope you will get to work there, but still keep in mind such dreams are rarely achieved, so don't be too much disappointed if you don't.

I already stated my point so I have nothing to add either. I did some more research which only comforts that this lawsuit is NOT a problem.
I'm just disappointing to hear that no one else seem to care about the future of Talespin. Do you really agree that we should just let go and do NOTHING??

One of the VERY main reasons Tale Spin was pulled from The DVD process (why we never got volume three) is because of the lawsuit held against the company by the family of Louis Prima (Voice of King Louie in the jungle book) Prima's family was never paid royalties for The Likeness of his character or the release of The Jungle Book on DVD. Ironically, even though he didn't provide the voice in tale spin. It was still his likeness and an impression of his voice was used. Disney and Prima's wife settled out of court on the promise that they could no longer use the king louie character or anybody resembling him or his voice. Which is why they put a Halt on the final DVD. So the only way the could go forward with a new comic is if they eliminated King Louie all together. (Also why the he wasn't in The Jungle Book 2) Interesting fact: On an episode of Disney's House of Mouse. There was character that was described as King Louie's brother, King Larry. So there's always a way they could use him. I REALLY don't think the lawsuit is a problem there. 1. We're talking about comics there. So there is no voice involved. I don't think the problem is on the character itself, it's on the voice. So, if Disney decided to make a DTV for Talespin, it COULD be an issue. Not for comics. 2. That didn't prevent from releasing the Talespin DVDs. Even though the lawsuit issue happened way before that (House of Mouse and Jungle Book 2 were before that) 3. The Talespin volume 3 DVD wasn't discontinued because of that. All the Disney Afternoon DVDs were discontinued at the same time, alltogether, probably because "they didn't sell enough". 4. A simple proof : the character still appears in the Disney parks / shows. I went to Disneyland Paris a month ago and there was a shows with Louie *singing* "I wanna be like you", and I think it wasn't the original voice. 5. I would like to find an official source on the whole issue, because I don't trust Wikipedia 100%. I'm not even sure how it was solved or if it's still a problem currently. This is a bit off topic to me...It doesn't prevent us from trying to reach them anyway.

As you know, a comic book company will release new Darkwing Duck comics, starting from June. If you notice the press releases, the fact that made Boom Studios decide to turn the new Darkwing Duck comics into an ongoing series instead of a 4-issue was the fact that there was a " tremendously positive fan support". So, I'm thinking : if we really do want them to make a Talespin comics, it wouldn't hurt to let them KNOW we DO want them to make some, right? They're currently making an awesome job with Darkwing Duck (see the previews here : www.newsarama.com/php/multimedia/album.php?aid=34871), and they would surely do great things with Talespin too. We may not have too many occasions like that. So, I would really like if each of you would send an email to Boom Studios. Their email address is : boom-studios@boom-studios.com You can also try to reach them using their contact page : blog.boom-studios.net/contact/ , though I'm not sure the emails are really sent (nothing happens after clicking the send button) Finally, they also do have a forums (strangely, it tooks me almost 2 months to notice it...) : forums.boom-studios.net/ It was nice to see that someone else already asked them about that... We have nothing to lose, right? And it will only take one minute of your time. Can you DO IT?

Not totally there. TaleSpin was animated by different places. The original P&L was probably done by one of the many Like Sun Woo animation for example while the 4 part was probably redone at a different studio. The two first episodes were animated in France, the 3rd in Japan, and the 4th at Sun Woo. But it's the same animation in the movie and the 4-part version. (save for one or two additional scenes) As for the colors differences, this comes from different sources so it's not very surprising. The DVD version is in-between :
