Well, I have not seen that fanmade video you're talking about, but I'm sure there are many more Lord of the rings fans than Talespin fans...And, it's probably a film, not animation (which is much harder to make) But I think it's worth trying and see what we can come up with.

I'm afraid it's not that easy. I had read somewhere that the companies never do that, because they are always afraid of being sued by the original authors; and as such, they avoid using fan created content.
That's a real shame, of course...Who better than the fans and / or the original creators could create something good and respective of the spirit of the series?
And as you said, it would save them money. Well maybe if you add a mention stating something like "the authors of this VS will not claim copyrights and allow the Disney company to use these stories and characters", but it's still very doubtful they will read it.
UNLESS...we send the VS to some appropriate persons currently working at Disney. Otherwise, there's no chance of them stumbling upon it. Not very easy to get good contacts like that though...

Well, it's the shame they do that on fan videos - I mean, I can understand when they remove the complete episodes / films, but sticking pieces of scenes together... Maybe it was the music which was copyrighted though.
But remember that there are other video hosting sites, such as Dailymotion or Zippyvideos, and I'm sure there are a lot of others - you might want to send it again there...

Nice! A shame that the TS characters have disappeared from the parcs, since a long time now.

Well, bad thing that I was on vacation this week, because he answered me and he definitely IS Jymn ;D Here's his answer : Wow - the creator of Talespin saying that my site is stunning, I'm SOOO happy!! Anyway, following his question, I have offered him to create a specific section on the site so that to centralize the questions of the fans - similar to the "Ask questions" page. I hope you don't mind I'm doing this on my site, but that's the easiest for me and I'm worried that he gets too many questions (and duplicate questions) This way I'll be able to limit the number of questions asked by members, so that he doesn't get "overcrowded". I have seen this happen in other fandoms, and I know none of us would like to make important persons like that angry... I'll be sure to tell you whenever everything is ready, so that you can post your questions

Well I didn't try to contact him, but now that I did... I may have found a way to do it!! That wasn't very hard : I just typed his name on Google, and guess what I found? His Facebook page! www.facebook.com/people/Jymn-Magon/584723315Now, I could be wrong and it could be someone with the same name, but considering his contacts / friends, there's a good hope that it's really him. I already sent him a message, to be certain and to ask him if he would be interested in an interview If he's willing to do it, I'll be sure to ask you and on the other forums what questions you would like to ask him, in order to regroup them (instead of everyone sending him many messages - usually no ones like that)

Err, I'm the one who posted that video on Youtube ;D It was from another video, I just cut that part and sent it.
I also think this was some promotional footage, that wasn't intended to be part of an episode. But maybe it was also some animation produced to get the feeling of the series and decide whether the show would go into production or not...

I have updated my site Talespin Source with a lot of things, so I have written a first news. I think it will interest all the Talespin fans here... A lot of Talespin fan creations have already been sent on the site, including Talespin fanarts, fanfics, articles, videos etc...Check the list at the bottom of the main page, it's already pretty impressive. I have also made a lot of changes on the site myself. This includes the Fan Gamebooks section. If you don't know what gamebooks are, they're some "interactive fanfics" where on each page, the reader can decide what happens next by choosing between a few possibilities (a famous collection of similar books is the "Choose your own adventure" series) Is anyone of you interested to try? I don't think I have ever seen any Talespin Gamebook If you want to test it and start one, well that's pretty simple : (register if you don't have an account already), go to Talespin Source, then click on "Send on the site", choose to "Send gamebooks", and just follow the instructions. If you need help, you can always ask me or on the "Ask questions" page. Also new sections : Fan contests and Fan projects, where you'll be able to write some projects or contests related to Talespin (if you have one of course!) It can be anything, from a "Project to create a Talespin comics book" to a "Invent the parents of Kit contest (fan characters)" - these are only examples... Other site changes : - Added some new comics on the TaleSpin comics page : "The Volcano Of Gold" and "The Long Flight Home", thanks to 0x7B (who also sent me a lot of other Talespin comics, so stay tuned for more!) - Added a music player (in the left menu), where you'll be able to listen to most of the Talespin musics (I will add more of the soundtrack later) - Added a bunch of screenshots from Plunder & Lightning (the pilot 1st episode) - Added links to other good Talespin sites - Corrected a lot of bugs, especially in the Talespin fanfics section - Added the whole list of TaleSpin episodes on the Information page
